Med 2.0 Radio #02: John Havens

Hello! I’m finally back from my second biz trip for this month – 2 down, 1 to go — and I’ve been meaning to get my next podcast posted for a while now, but haven’t had the time to do so until now. So I’m pleased to finally announce Episode #2 of Med 2.0 Radio

This episode was recorded at PodCamp Boston 2 in OCT 2007 and, although not directly related to the science/medicine/pharma industry, I strongly believe that one of the key drivers of success and innovation in any organization, is learning from other industries/organizations and figuring out ways to adapt it to the needs of our own.

So, for this interview, John and I chat about a book he is publishing shortly on the topic of “transparency” and how important and essential it is for businesses in today’s day and age.

This “openess” with the customer is something more and more people are coming to expect from large organizations and, while it may be difficult to achieve in our highly regulated industry, I think it really cannot be left out of any Web 2.0 application. IMHO, it is an important and inseparable “cultural trait” of Web 2.0, and one of the keys to its success.
