OK, here's a lesson I just learned: Never start a blog a few days before you embark on a week long business trip; not only because it's tough to find time to work on the blog while you're away, but also because it seems like it takes twice as long to catch up on everything when you return to the office. Sigh…

Anyway, I got some great news yesterday (3/22)…I received an email from from google informing me that my request to beta test the “Gmail hosted” service has been approved…Woo-hoo!!!

This means I will no longer have to use etechcast@gmail.com as my email address. Instead I can actually use the Gmail server with my etechcast.com domain name. So please address any future emails to: shwen@etechcast.com.

Well, I hope to interview someone from google about their hosted service some time soon. I'll also write my thoughts on the hosted service after I've used it a bit, but I doubt it will be too much different from Gmail itself (which is a good thing).
